Amy McLellan (JD, LL.M) has been selected as the Dean of the Braden School of Taxation and Director of the LLM Taxation and Estate Planning programs at Golden Gate University. For the past few years, Amy has served as visiting associate professor in the graduate taxation program at the highly respected University of Denver College of Law — where she taught graduate tax courses both online and in person. In addition to her teaching and scholarly responsibilities, Amy served as the Director of Online Education at the Denver College of Law. Prior to joining the University of Denver, Amy was a partner in a Massachusetts law firm before founding and managing her own law firm. Amy’s legal expertise is focused on estate, tax and business planning.
“Amy has a terrific set of skills to fill this new position that bridges the Braden School of Taxation and the School of Law,” says Barbara Karlin, Vice President Academic Affairs at GGU’s Ageno School of Business. “Anthony Niedwiecki (Chair of the search committee) and Dean of the GGU School of Law and I believe Amy has what is needed to think creatively about growth strategies for the two programs, particularly focusing on building and enhancing relationships with accounting firms, industry and the legal community. Amy’s management and administrative experience combined with her faculty experience is just the right mix for this challenging position.”
